BEFORE THERE WAS SEEDRUS

There was a family.
And a patch of Punjab.

The story starts in Sappanwali, in the Abohar region. A family farm, carried forward through changing crops, seasons, and generations.

EARLY 1900s

Before citrus,
there was cotton.

Khem Chand Setia worked this land growing cotton in the early twentieth century. Those seasons laid the foundation for a family connection to farming that would continue long after him.

The beginning was in the soil.

A TURNING POINT

The same land.
A different possibility.

Decades later, the family turned toward Kinnow, a mandarin suited to Abohar’s seasons. Cotton gave way to citrus, and the farm began to take the shape of a grove.

A new crop. A continuing connection.
